On this page are the current deck plans for Carnival Spirit showing deck plan layouts, public venues and all the types of cabins including pictures and videos. Five years since Carnival relocated its first ever vessel out of the United States, Carnival Spirit has grown into one of Australians' favourite cruise ships. Like a true Aussie, it's laid-back, fun and friendly -- and that describes the crew, your fellow passengers and the atmosphere onboard. Since 2017, Carnival Cruise Line offers a new program allowing ship passengers to customize their steward service by choosing to have the cabin serviced in the morning, at night or both (twice a day).

Ocean Suite
There are 12 bars and lounges, including three new bars, a new pub and a new-look sports bar. There's something for everyone, from those who like a pre-dinner cocktail with soft music to those who want to dance well into the night in the flashy 1980s-style disco. The Carnival Spirit ship has 12 decks that are open to guests on the ship. Decks 2, 3, 9, 10, 11 and 12 are social spaces, with drinks, dining and entertainment. The junior suite offers a standard balcony, plenty of floorspace with a small table, a walk-in closet, whirlpool and other special features. The ocean suite features much of the same, but with a larger balcony.
Serenity Adults-Only Retreat
(deck 4) The Techno Video Arcade (forward-portside) was replaced with The Cove (children-only breakout room for arts and crafts). Carnival Spirit provides cruise experience like taking a journey all over the world. Legendary designer Joe Farcus got inspired to memorialize the "creative spirit" on the liner.
Service history
Bonsai is known for amazing sushi, sashimi and rolls – plus soups, sides, sakes and desserts. Our mixologists at Alchemy Bar™ are serving up custom elixirs and exciting surprises. Using select spirits and a bit of imagination, we’ve created a tantalizing menu of remedies.
Onboard Activities
Oceanview cabins have large Picture Window, 2 twin beds (convertible to queen), and some have a sofa and/or upper bed (Pullman) for 3rd/4th person. Inside cabins (deck 6, category 4C) numbers 6101 and 6102 are sized 235 ft2 (22 m2). Inside cabins (deck 4, category 4B) numbers 4101, 4102, 4103, 4104 and 4233 are sized 225 ft2 (21 m2). The Splash Zone on Deck 11 is the place for little kids to get wet. There are two purple mini-slides and big tipping buckets and a wading pool.
Carnival Spirit Services
Get ready to relax as you gaze upon the ship's gentle wake from your spacious balcony. Click deck pictures to go to individual cruise deck plan pages where you can see all the public areas, venues and stateroom cabins categories for each deck. The almost-hidden location of Camp Ocean is fairly unusual; while some cruise ships will try to corral the kids into one section of the ship, we've never needed a detailed map to find the kids' areas before.
Premium Balcony Cabin
Spirit was also the first Fun Ship cruising to Alaska and Hawaii. It features world's steepest waterslide at sea ("Green Thunder"). Ship's drydock refurbishment in San Francisco (in 2012) cost USD 7 million. During the drydock were added "WaterWorks" (aquapark) and "Serenity" (adults-only resort deck).
Your taste buds are also on vacation with lots of palate-pleasing dining choices. Grab a slice of hot and fresh pizza, a mouthwatering burger, grilled fare, sushi or a prime cut of steak. Special multi-course gourmet dinners are served in a private setting and you'll find venues dedicated to Mexican cuisine, seafood, ice cream and more. The dining room menu includes vegetarian options, a kids menu plus incredible buffets.
We would like to thank you for your great review of our onboard team. Our crew works hard to ensure you have a great vacation and we are proud to be part of the best team in the cruise industry. Late-night child-minding also takes place in Camp Ocean for children aged two to 11, until as late as 1 a.m. A fee of AU$8 an hour per child is charged and they receive a goodie bag containing a toothbrush, watch, pen, toy, night-light and insulated lunch bag.
The 2001-built Carnival Spirit cruise ship is the first of four Spirit-class CCL liners, with sisterships the fleetmates Miracle, Pride, and Legend, as well as Costa's liners Atlantica and Mediterranea. If all of the above isn’t enough for your kids, there are loads of kid-specific activities they can try, too, throughout the ship. There’s a Build-a-Bear workshop, arts and crafts on the regular, gaming rooms and Dr. Seuss-themed activities and breakfasts. Kids will also love a trip to the on-board candy store and the 24/7 ice cream stand. If you need to chill by a pool without the kids, head to the ship’s adults-only pool zone, where the tone is very chill. Lay back on a lounger, enjoy a drink or a dip in the pool, and do it all far away from any splashing or screaming children.
Ol’ Fashioned BBQ is onboard, with beef, chicken and pork barbecued to perfection. And don’t forget the sides – mac-n-cheese, molasses baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad and more. You don’t have to miss the big game just because you’re in the middle of paradise. Our SkyBox Sports Bar is equipped with big screens, snacks and drinks fit for a party. All these enhancements work to ramp up the fun on a ship that has certainly struck a chord with Aussie cruisers. Launched in 2001, the Carnival Spirit is the prototype ship in a series of four 2,100-guest vessels known as the Spirit Class.
